The return of plans to exploit the Usumacinta River for hydro power,
and continued invasions by settlers and narco traffickers, have created
new pressures on the ecology and cultural legacy of the Usumacinta
watershed. Recently completed video reports explore the political and
cultural forces at work on the southern border of
Mexico.

experience in Mexico and Guatemala. He has produced reports on the
