Pre-Columbian Society Glyph Group Activities
Next meeting:
Saturday August 14, 2010 10:00am Room 345
In July and August, the group meets all day, since there is no Society
talk. Thus the group starts at 10 and continues until they tire or get
kicked out at 4:30.
The group continues to work on
the inscriptions of Piedras
Negras.
At the last meeting, in July, the group worked on the Altar 2 supports
and Panel 3.
In August we will continue our study of the inscriptions of Piedras
Negras in this order:
PN Stela 14
La Pasadita Lintel 1
PN Stela 23
PN Throne 1
PN Stela 15
PN Stela 12
Yaxchilan Lintel 10.
Obviously, we won't cover all of them in August.

Also, the group has returned to its regular format -- i.e. different
people will lead us through the various texts. So, please work on
the texts in detail and be ready to volunteer.
Beginners are welcome.
